Checkmate is an epic dance battle inspired by chess. Knights, queens, kings, bishops and pawns wield aluminum swords and fight for victory. This performance is a charged, energetic and visually arresting production celebrating the hero in all of us. Who will you cheer for – and who will win?

Inspired by a speakeasy atmosphere and the Jazz Age, Café Noisette creates tension and excitement with dance, theatre, stage combat, thematic music and period costumes. Stick around and you’ll find this Café is full of surprises.
